Anselmo pelembe

Anselmo Pelembe was born in Maputo, Mozambique. He studied graphic design at the University of Lincoln Faculty of Art, Architecture & Design, where he received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Graphic Design in 2011. He began his career as a Junior designer at Yassue Carter, Lamis Kamis and worked as a Graphic Designer at South Essex Partnership University and NHS (Oxford Medical Illustration).

After graduation Anselmo moved to the UK Overseas Territory of St. Helena. There he set up a registered company – Lupa Design Creative Studio, offering a range of graphic design products and services, from Children’s story books to National campaigns around traditional industries. The business grew and developed, employing locals as apprentices and administrators. On return to UK, Anselmo has continued to run Lupa Design remotely, while working full-time for a publishing company.

Lupa Design’s clients have included St Helena Government, the South Atlantic Environmental Research Institute, SHAPE, Joshua Brothers, Sub-Tropic Adventures, Pampando, WTY, Agriculture and Natural Resources Division, Tristan da Cunha Conservation, Enterprise St Helena, G Unique, St Helena Arts and Craft, St Helena Distillery, Ascension Island Conservation and St Helena Tourism.

In addition to his commercial work, Anselmo’s designs, some of which include expressive typography, have been exhibited in the London Design Festival.
